1823 is The Columbus Rugby Clubs Sevens Team. After our 2nd year of competitive play and fielding over 38 players during the course of the 2010 and 2011, we are ready for the Sevens challenges ahead. Playing in the Mid West affords us the opportunity to play every weekend from end of May till into August. This makes for a great summer of rugby and lots of playing time for everyone.
The great thing about playing with 1823 is that local OHIO talent will get preference and developed. Unlike a lot of sevens teams, we pride ourselves on deveoping and using Ohio Talent. We do bring in each year one or two players that we feel will be able to help with the development , however the core of the team has come up through our High School and Collegiate Programs.
We appreciate all our supporters and trust that this year will build on the last two and lead to great success. Those of you that want to play come out and do so.
Trainings - Winter - ALL STARS (161 and 71N) Indoor Tues/Thurs
Spring/Summer - Rhodes Park off of 70w Mon/Tues/Wed and Thurs at 6pm
Until END of MAY training will be Wednesday 6pm and Sundays(times to be announced)
